As a state-of-the-art health club, we proudly offer Pilates classes to members and guests—the only Pilates studio in the North end of Winnipeg.
Our highly certified instructors and spacious studio offer a unique fitness experience. Commit to a multi-week session or attend one of our drop-in classes with a single, 5 or 10-class package. We also provide private class bookings for individuals and groups.
Pilates is a highly adaptable exercise proven to boost strength and flexibility and condition the core. Our studio is fully equipped so you can experience an amazing holistic workout.

.Pilates Grand Re-Opening
We are thrilled to announce the Grand Re-Opening of our newly renovated, bright, spacious, and fully equipped Pilates studio! Winnipeg’s largest Pilates Studio in the North End, in our state-of-the-art space.

Reformer Pilates Classes
New to Pilates or juggling a busy lifestyle? Our flexible drop-in classes are perfect for you! Dive into a single class or grab a 5- or 10-class package valid for 6 months for ultimate convenience. Join us and find balance on your schedule!
Book the drop-in class you’d like to attend, and it will automatically deduct a class if you’ve purchased a class package.

Beginner
Discover the essence of Stott Pilates and immerse yourself in the five fundamental principles through a welcoming full-body workout. Designed for beginners and those with physical restrictions. Focus on enhancing alignment, balance, and the power of your breath.
Athletic
Do lunges, planks and pushups sound familiar to you? Try these and other familiar exercises on the gliding surface of the reformer, and you will have a full-body challenge you have never experienced! This is quickly becoming a fan favourite!  An athletic or fitness background with no or very few physical limitations is required to keep up with this challenging workout. Previous Pilates experience is NOT required.
Continuing Level 1
Perfect for those who have already taken a Stott Pilates beginner reformer class but are still mastering the essential movements. This level could also be a suitable starting point for someone with a solid athletic/fitness background with no previous experience.
Power Mix
Maximize your Pilates training with this power mix of work on the Reformer, Cadillac frame and Stability Chair. You’ll love this buffet of athletic strength training, flexibility work, and Cardio Tramp intervals to take your fitness to new heights! To keep up with this challenging workout, one must have few physical limitations and an athletic or fitness background. Previous Pilates experience is NOT required.

Reformer Pilates Sessions
Multi-week sessional classes
5 – 10 weeks
Lock in your fitness commitment with our reformer Pilates sessional classes! Book and enjoy the convenience of committing to classes at a set time each week. Join us and experience the benefits of dedicated, consistent training!
Continuing Level 2
Those with experience with Stott Pilates Reformer work who want to continue building on their strength and skills. Must be proficient at this level before venturing onto an intermediate-level class. Â
Intermediate
This level requires previous Stott Pilates Reformer experience. One must have few physical limitations and have a good understanding of all reformer work to keep up with the fast pace of this workout. Before joining this level, you must discuss with your instructor, who can advise if your current abilities align with the intermediate repertoire’s challenges.
Advanced
For individuals proficient in intermediate STOTT Pilates Reformer work. This class incorporates the intermediate and advanced level exercise progressions on the reformer. The advanced class will challenge your physical strength. Before joining this level, please discuss with your instructor, who can advise if your current abilities will align with the challenges of the intermediate and advanced repertoire.
The RCC: Reformer/Chair/Cadillac Circuit -formerly 20/20/20
Expand your Pilates skills with the Chair. This circuit-style class will include time on the chair and the Reformer and/or Cadillac for a challenging full-body workout. Participants must have a solid understanding of the STOTT Pilates Reformer repertoire since instruction is often divided amongst multiple stations.

Mat Pilates
A series of exercises focusing on abdominal conditioning and full-body flexibility. Simple changes to your movement will improve core stabilization and may result in a flatter stomach and decreased back pain. Leave feeling and looking stronger.

Our Pilates Instructors
Cheryl Taylor-Kashton
Cheryl has been an MFC leader for over 28 years, a Stott Pilates Instructor for 17 years, and an MFC-certified Yoga Instructor for four years. She has led Anti-Gravity (inversion hammock) classes since September 2022. She draws her experience from leading hi/lo, step, group cycling, strength conditioning, TRX conditioning, and Barre-Yoga fusion classes, along with her Purple Belt in Traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate that she acquired. Holding a master’s degree in Molecular Biology, my understanding of the body and how it functions translates into my unique designs of class programs.
Cassidy Papaioannou
Cassidy (Bachelor of Phys. Ed.) has taught fitness classes for over 30 years and pilates for 24 years. Through her love of recreational sports and fitness, she has consistently sought opportunities for continuing education. As fitness trends emerged, so did her expertise, including certifications in aquafit, spinning, TRX, mat & reformers pilates, and, most recently, block therapy. She has a bottomless ‘toolbox of tricks.” Whether you are looking to be challenged in the athletic classes or are just beginning your pilates journey, you’re in very capable hands.
Lori Orchard
Lori Orchard has been a certified Stott Pilates instructor since 2003 and has over 40 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Recreation Studies and is a certified personal trainer with many certifications from the Manitoba Fitness Council. Lori is also a certified Spin and Antigravity instructor and was awarded the Manitoba Fitness Leader of the Year in 2008. Her passion is to promote movement and physical activity through encouragement, education, and empathy to help her clients achieve their health and fitness goals.
Karen Hopko
Although new to the Pilates Team, Karen has been an employee of the Wellness Institute (WI) for the past 27 years and has worked for 34 years as a physiotherapist! Karen is also a certified instructor in various styles of Yoga and is currently teaching the Kaiut Yoga Method at the WI. Her extensive knowledge and skills allow her to customize exercises to meet individual needs. Karen has an insatiable curiosity and a strong desire to continue to learn. She is passionate about health and wellness and is motivated to provide a holistic approach to wellbeing and empower others to improve their quality of life.
Cathy Morin
Cathy recently retired as a Physiotherapist after practicing at the St Boniface Hospital for 31 years. She began taking Pilates classes for her well-being before becoming certified, first in mat and now focusing on the reformer, teaching for over 20+ years in Winnipeg, Selkirk, Lockport, and East St Paul areas. Cathy, a life-long learner, regularly attends Pilates workshops each year. She offers safe and effective class movement that helps you de-stress and refocus your mind—geared for all ages and abilities. She is looking forward to guiding you in your Pilates journey!
