Cognitive Rehabilitation
Cognitive Rehabilitation is an individualized, goal-oriented treatment program designed to help people restore or improve mental skills like:
- memory,
- attention, and
- problem-solving.
It uses targeted exercises and practical workarounds to help individuals safely return to everyday activities, work, and independent living after a brain injury or illness.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is an evidence-based treatment designed to break the cycle of chronic pain by addressing its root cause: the brain.
When pain persists long after an injury has healed, it is often because the nervous system has become stuck in a loop of misinterpreting safe bodily signals as dangerous. Through PRT, our expert practitioners guide clients through a specialized system of cognitive, somatic, and exposure-based techniques such as somatic tracking and safety reappraisal, retraining the brain to accurately interpret signals.
By systematically reducing fear and teaching the nervous system that the body is safe, PRT helps individuals to:
- unlearn chronic pain,
- turn down the brain’s pain alarm, and
- achieve lasting, drug-free relief.
