Enhanced Online Experience

The Wellness Institute has worked with our app developer, Technogym, to deploy a significant upgrade to our app and enhance our Wellness Online Services. These updates create a unified experience that makes it significantly easier to access Wellness programming and sign up for classes online.

 

Key Benefits of the Completed Upgrade

Integrated Functions: A smoother experience was achieved for essential tasks, including:

  • Reserving class times and slots.
  • Booking court times or other facility spaces.
  • Checking out our upcoming programs and program registration.

We offer two convenient ways to access your Wellness Online Services:

  1. Seamless Access via the App
    Members using the Wellness Institute app can enjoy a streamlined experience. If you are already logged into the app, use the Online Services button after tapping ‘facility’ to use the Wellness Online Services.
  2. Desktop or Web Portal Access
    If you use a desktop computer or prefer not to use the app, you can access everything through a browser on this website by tapping ‘login.’  Your client account is linked directly to your email address. Hit ‘forgot password’ and use your email to choose a new password and to log in.

Stop by the front desk before or after your workout for a hand getting set up.

How do I reinstall the Wellness Institute App after I change my phone?

If you already have your account created but are setting it up on a new phone, you can install the app with the buttons to the right. If you are unsure of your password, hit the ‘forgot password’ on the login screen to send a temporary one to your email.

How can I connect my phone to the supported equipment?

  1. Put your phone down on the portion of the equipment with the NFC logo or
  2. Scan QR codes using the top right button and your phone’s camera

Setting up for Spin Class

There are buttons in the Wellness App to set up and launch AppAudio, which our spin instructors use to share the music and their headset with you over your own headphones.  Follow the steps below to set up AppAudio.

Step 1: Download the AppAudio App

This app lets you stream the live audio feed from the studio to your device. Use the buttons on the right to download the free app now.

Step 2: Connect to the Studio Wi-Fi

  • To connect, you must first join the dedicated Wi-Fi network in the Spin Studio.
  • Go to your phone’s Settings and select Wi-Fi.
  • Connect to the network named: WellnessSpin_5G
  • The password is: ‘wellness’

Step 3: Launch the App and Scan

  • Once you’re connected to the network, click the launch button in the Wellness App to find the audio source.
  • Tap the ‘Venue Scan’ button.
  • You will see the Wellness logo confirming your connection to the live class audio feed.

Step 4: Connect Your Headphones

The audio stream is now active on your device, but you need an output to hear it! Plug in your wired headphones OR Connect your Bluetooth earbuds. Once connected, you can adjust the volume level directly on your phone and use your device normally while enjoying the class!

Note on Tracking Your Ride:

To track your ride details (distance, calories, move points), use the main Wellness Institute App to scan the bike’s QR code just below the display.

How do I connect my apps and devices?

Click the ‘Profile’ button in the bottom right, then ‘Settings’ and ‘Connect apps and devices.’ Through this section, you can see Google Fit on Androids and iHealth on iPhones. You can start collecting ‘MOVE Points’ through your phone’s connected apps and devices through the following 3rd party tools:

  • Fitbit
  • Garmin
  • MapMyFitness
  • MyFitnessPal
  • Polar
  • Runkeeper
  • Strava
  • Swimtag
  • Withings

What are MOVEs or Move Points?

MOVEs are the app’s unit of movement measurement. The more you move, the more you collect.  For example, running for 10 minutes at low intensity accumulates about 200 MOVEs. The faster and longer you run, cycle, row, or whatever your favourite exercise is, the more MOVEs you’ll earn. They help you visualize your workout intensity in the Results section.
