Worksite visits & ergonomic assessments
Reduce the physical stress of a job to get a recovering worker back on the job sooner, or make their recovery easier. Partner with us to have an occupational therapy consultant go on site to assess problem areas and make recommendations for change to work stations, work flow or body mechanics that may be interfering with a client’s successful return to work.
A worksite visit will provide a baseline for understanding the demands on an injured worker. It will provide us with an ability to recommend modifications for ergonomic improvements and safe body mechanics training. The more job-specific information we have, the more specific recommendations we can make. Physical or job demands analyses for a job can be completed as required.
Our highly qualified OTs will build relationships with the worker, and focus on his or her responsibility to use proper positioning, equipment and techniques. Immediate feedback can assist in changing behaviour, often the biggest barrier to compliance with safe work procedures.
