10-Day No Sugar Challenge

According to Statistics Canada, the average Canadian consumes about 110 grams of sugar per day (from all sources), or the equivalent of around 440 calories.

This challenge is going to help you learn about hidden sugars in your food and become more mindful about the sweeteners you add to your dishes. The goal of the challenge is to reveal some of the sneaky, added sugars in our everyday choices and help you make small, healthy changes that add up towards better eating and a healthier lifestyle.

The Challenge Begins January 22, 2020

What it is:  Eliminating added sugar and sweetener sources

What it is NOT:  A low carb challenge

We are not eliminating the natural sugars found in healthy foods such as fruit, whole grains, and pulses. We are only removing processed sugars hidden in food by the manufacturer and added sweeteners you use in your beverages or cooking. We also encourage you to avoid juices during the challenge (eating whole fruits instead).
