Wellness for All
We strive to make the facility easily accessible to all and provide a number of pieces of inclusive fitness equipment throughout the gym. Wellness Consultants are available to help you find suitable equipment for your needs.
Let us know if you have an idea to improve the facility. Though there are many individual access needs and we may not be able to address them all, we value your feedback and have acted on a number of requests from members to improve access in the past.
Improved-access Features:
- Level entrance
- Elevator to the lower level
- Textured transition floor marking main stairs
- Automated doors throughout the facility
- Braille signs at bathroom entrances
- A therapy pool with permanent chair ramp access (limited number of water wheelchairs available on a first-come-first-served basis)
- Large bathroom stalls with grab bars
- Two fully accessible shower stalls in each of the men’s and women’s locker rooms
- Large benches in locker rooms
- Two private specialty change rooms suitable to those requiring assistance in changing (one with lift and bed)
- Oxygen tanks available for members with COPD
- Level access to equipment on both floors
- Walking aid accessible track
- Resistance equipment positioned to allow room to maneuver, with pulley systems and free weights
- Upper arm ergometers for a cardiovascular upper body workout
- Seated stretching options on stretch breaks
- Free admittance to the facility for personal attendants for the purpose of providing support to members who require it
- Lowered counter areas at front desk and café
- Expert staff to help with modifications or equipment recommendations
- Dedicated parking spots for those with disabilities (more about parking)
