InBody Body Composition Analysis
See what you are made of
The InBody 570 is state-of-the-art technology that allows us to look beyond the number on the scale and show you what your body is really made of.
Our bodies are complex structures made of many different components including water, fat and muscle. Simply tracking body weight on a traditional scale does not provide a true indicator of personal health.
In less than a minute, the InBody provides a simple way to regularly monitor:
- The amount of body fat you have and where it is located,
- Your body water balance,
- The mount of muscle you have and how it is distributed,
- An estimate of your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
– the number of calories your body burns off at rest.
By simply standing on the footplates & holding the hand grips, you can easily see how your diet, lifestyle and exercise regimen are affecting your body. A certified personal trainer will review the results with you, identify whether your body composition falls within a healthy range and provide personalized recommendations for your lifestyle.
While a single analysis will give you information about current body composition and metabolism and can identify health risks such us unhealthy levels of fat around your internal organs, the greatest value is in tracking ongoing lifestyle changes. The machine tracks your results so every time you get on it you can see where you’ve made progress or if you need to get back on track.
InBody Analysis and your goals
While tracking progress with a scale can show weight loss, it doesn’t discern fat from muscle. Having a quick InBody analysis every few months will give you insights into how your body is changing and when you should adapt your plan.
If your goal is weight loss, starting with a body composition analysis can help you reduce your calorie intake in a healthy way without triggering your body to react as though it is starving. Continuing to track your muscle mass can help you maintain a healthy metabolism and strong body throughout your progress while tracking your overall Basal Metabolic Rate can show you when to adapt your diet for maintenance or continued success.
For muscular individuals, weight and body mass alone may not be good indicators of a healthy body. Measuring the components that make up your total body weight can give a clearer picture of health.
If training for strength or performance, results can not only show progress in developing muscle mass, but any imbalances between the right and left sides of the body. These may reflect dominant limbs or show the impact of a prior injury.
Because Inbody analysis shows the level of visceral fat around organs, it can be used to support preventative lifestyle changes. Visceral fat is associated with adverse lipid levels and increased risk for cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
Whatever your goals, adding Inbody screenings allows our certified personal trainers to give more specific advice and more focused support.
